14 memorable days with baby of mine

Today marks the one year anniversary of the day I met my daughter-to-be. What I'm sharing are 14 dates with Baby Diana. So...take a slightly longer than 7-minute (2 songs) break, grab a beverage of choice, click that 'play' button, and enjoy the music!

Look out, Bob the Builder

Noli is out for your job! Mom has a small utility/laundry room at her house and every time the door to that room opens, she heads straight for the toolbox.

Catch-up post #4 - my brown-eyed girl is 15 months old

She's actually 15 1/2 months old, but this is a catch-up post ;) I know that many readers out there are interested in how Noli is doing, so I'd like to share the latest findings from her 15 month wellness exam.

  • weight - 16lbs 10oz
  • height - 29 inches
  • head circumference - 46.5 cm

She is still following her own curve nicely. However, if we adjust her age to 12 months, she is close to the 50th percentile for height and close to 3rd percentile for weight. Her pediatrician is not too worried at all since she is proportionate. Nola is still a little squirt, but watch out, she is full of feistiness and determination. I was also enlightened to learn that my daughter may in fact be taller than her mama. Lucky girl!!

In other news, she is walking up a storm. She loves to practice her Frankenstein moves (new nickname 'Frankie') every day and she is becoming more and more comfortable, fast, and independent. Today we went for a walk and she walked with her arms to her side and had such nice balance and wanted to keep going and going and going. She kept looking up at me with a smile...it was just too cute.

The only area I seem to have a small concern around is her speech. She understands us quite well, but she doesn't really talk much yet. I brought this up with the Dr. and again, if we consider her adjusted age of 12 months, she is not too worried. We will revisit the topic during Noli's 18 month wellness exam and see where we are at that point in time. I have no issue having her assessed by Early Intervention, if necessary.

Her bottom teeth are still working their way through, and she's got two top teeth joining in the fun.

And now for some shots of Noli during month 15...

Catch-up post #3 - guess who's walking?

On August 16th, Nola walked independently for the first time. She's been working hard on this walking thing for months. She is so proud, as is her mama :) Video clip coming soon, but in the meantime, here are a couple of shots from the momentous occassion. Go Noli!!
