Sleeping Beauty

It's 7:30am and apparently Nola is sleeping in. I just snapped these shots moments ago. Yes, she's in my bed. It happens sometimes...very rarely. But when she wants to be with her mommy, I will never say 'no'. I'm surprised she actually fell back asleep when I brought her in at 6am. I wish I could say the same, but my girl just moves too much and well, once I'm up, I'm up!

Happy New Year and some random thoughts

In early December I was tagged by Mala to share random or weird bits about me. Mala was one of two blog friends to have met my little one prior to my first trip. She'll always be remembered for that and I will always be thankful to her for taking the time to visit one little squirt before she became my daughter.

Ok...here we go. I'm always nervous about these sort of things, but I promised to follow through.

First, THE RULES

1. I WILL be a singer in my next life. I can picture myself on stage singing, belting it out for an audience. I recently dreamed that mom and I were auditioning to sing back-up for Andrea Bocelli. In Italian. I am still trying to figure out how that dream came to be.
2. I am so very glad that 2008 has passed. While there was much joy and happiness, there was also sadness, disappointment, and hurt. The hurt hasn't quite left me yet. It seems emotions are still so fresh and somewhat debilitating. Bitterness comes and goes, but I am hopeful that this new year will help to erase those feelings. I know the negative energy is not good for the soul.
3. I look forward to visiting Italy one day...and buying a villa...and sending for my things. This was not an original idea...Under the Tuscan Sun inspired me! Note: this will also bring me closer to Andrea Bocelli and my singing career ;)
4. I always knew I wanted a family, but didn't think I would take the plunge solo. I'm so glad that I did. Look at my BEAUTY...just look up, you'll see her right there in the header :) Don't get me wrong, though, I am still hopeful that there will be a Mr. Right. Perhaps 2009 will surprise me on that front.
5. Writing these random things make me sound so boring...geez. I don't even think they make me wierd, either.
6. I used to be fun, cute, and bubbly. Seriously, I was. I'm not sure what happened. I am pretty sure that motherhood is not supposed to do that to you!!
7. My last random thought is going to be a request. I'd like to ask anyone who read this far to please send me good vibes, juju, mojo, strength, and prayers. I could still use all the good energy I can get.
