Nola turned 2 on May 25th and it's taken me this long to publish the news. The top picture is birthday number 1, and the one just below is birthday number 2. I was so thrilled that she finally fit into her Chinese dress, compliments of a very dear friend. All along I planned that she would wear this dress on her 2nd birthday.
May was a busy month. Not only did I get to celebrate my 2nd Mother's Day, but I also (reluctantly) became a year older (big sob). In other exciting news, I've gone back to school. I enrolled in a weekend certification program at FAU. The class is held every Saturday (all day), and come mid-August I'll be one smarter cookie ;) The class will provide me with an executive certification in project management and get me one step closer to sitting for the PMP exam. I'm not sure I'll go for that right away, but will see how the next couple of months play out.Nola and I are spending some extra special time together these days. We're attending a Mommy and Me class twice a week and this has been wonderful for my shy girl. We haven't had much opportunity to mix and mingle with other little ones and their mommies to date. We also hit story time at my town's local library once a week, too.
The little squirt recently had her 2 year wellness exam and checked in at 19.9 lbs. She's not on the charts for weight, but for height she's at about the 3rd percentile, measuring 32.5 inches tall. Aside from a slight language delay, she is doing fabulously well. We started weekly speech therapy about 2 months ago and that, along with our participation in mommy and me, should help in the language area.
Enough babbling. Onto pictures...
