The scene: preschool drop off at Miss Kim's classroom
The players: 13 other 2.5 year olds and their caregiver (moms, dads or nannys), Me (Nola's mummy) & Nola (my 32 month old)
The time: 9:00am Eastern
The script: (upon entering the classroom with your child and getting her settled at a play area of interest)
Me: Nola, give mommy a kiss kiss -- bye bye Nola, see you at bubbles!
Nola: (after giving mummy a kiss on the cheek) See you at bubbles!
I was so proud and smiling all the way to the car. Yes, to the car. Because, yes, I was able to leave the compound -- I mean school ;) After just over 5 months of working on this separation thing, I believe we are finally there! The true test will be next Wednesday when school resumes -- yup, we have a week long break due to teacher training and Presidents' Day.
